About me

In 2004, I graduated from the psychology department of Middle East Technical University (METU) and the double major programs of the sociology department of the same university. In 2011, I completed my master's program at Maltepe University with my thesis titled "Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Children with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder". I completed my doctoral education in Clinical Psychology at Middle East Technical University and completed my thesis work titled "Change in Usage of Cognitive Words, Affect Words, Discourse Markers, and First Person Pronoun Position Among Clients in Psychotherapy Process" in 2015.

I started to work as a lecturer at Istanbul Arel University in 2012 and have been working as a lecturer since 2015. In this institution, I taught various courses in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs for six years and worked as the coordinator of the clinical psychology graduate program for 2 years. In the clinical psychology graduate program of the university, I gave supervision courses to prepare students to become psychotherapists. After that, I continue to teach in undergraduate and graduate programs of different universities. My academic studies have been published in national and international journals and have taken part in various national and international congresses and symposiums.

In 2004, I worked as a Psychologist at Balıklı Greek Hospital. I applied the TAT and Rorschach tests, which I received specialization training, and administered group therapies for addicted clients. Later, for nine years, Istanbul Çapa Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department Head Prof. Dr. I worked with Süleyman Salih Zoroğlu. During this period, I focused on obsessive compulsive disorder in adolescents and gained experience working with many adolescents.

I completed the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training in 2006, and then I also received the IFS therapy training, which is widely practiced in the USA. I have been working with adult clients for more than 15 years, especially in the field of anxiety disorders, and I provide services to many people to lead a better quality of life psychologically.

Since 2020, he has been giving Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Supervision courses to therapist candidates in the clinical psychology graduate program of Bahçeşir University.
